Dragonflies' wings remind me of the patterns on fighter planes. They're Nature's flying aces.:-)

He was soo pretty.. And patient.. he sat there and waited for me to fuss with getting the camera, then coming in for new batteries and everything.. They know me here... :giggle:

:wow:That's one of the few times where I've heard of an insect--especially a winged one--waiting for you to actually run and get your camera, and batteries!:lol: Yeah, have you seen how they have this mating-flight, where the male dragonfly hooks his hind-end behind the female's head?:wow: Or, maybe it's damselflies that do that?:-?

I thought that was damselflies.. and they like dive bomb and nearly kill themselves?? Hrm.. that isn't the only one that did that.. we had another one, but the picture didn't come out.. he was all pretty coppery..

They like me here.. :) That's why I wrote the snippet called More Roses!

I'll have to read the "More Roses" piece.:-) Maybe it is damselflies that link together at the head, and hind-end to mate, I'll have to look that up with Google, or About.com.:nod:
