Just another abstract rambling...


While several of these are sort of Christmas-y, that was not what I was feeling. loves bells. I do to actually… but I was talking to him, the mood was light and I was trying to figure out what to change the journal too when his Spirit Soother Charm he made for his phone came up on my sit back thing… I smiled when I saw the little tiny jingle bell on it, remembering how I sent him literally 190 of the little jingly things in a gift box just this year. So I thought... hey...good idea! Bells! And here we are…









And while on the mission to find the beautiful, happy, smile inducing little music makers, I found the following bells. While not in the Category of brings a warm happy dance feeling to your heart, it is too beautiful a sentiment not to be shared. In Memory of Nicholas Green.
A 7-year-old Bodega Bay resident who, on September 19, 1994, while vacationing in Italy with his family, was caught in a crossfire shooting and killed. His family donated his organs to save 7 peoples lives around the world.

As an apology for what had happened, families from the town where Nicholas Green was killed began sending bells of all shapes, sizes, and types to the Greens, engraved with messages of love and caring on each one. The largest bell in the structure holds the names of the 7 people whos lives were saved from Nicholas' organs. This bell has been blessed by Pope John Paul II.

This structure holds all the bells that were sent to the family so that others can come and appreciate the kindness of that town.

Being who I am, of course I cried… I just had to share them. It’s a shame to lose anyone. But when our babies are lost to senseless violence, to me, that’s just so much worse. My heart goes out to his family, just as did so many others, as shown here…
