It's about time to step back into a life outside my tiny microworld. Its been a year since my world got flipped and I've still not found a way to truly just step back out. Life is, at best, tricky. I'm not sure beyond giving love to others what I might accomplish here, but I think I am ready to start clearing the dust and kick out the ghosts and get back to enjoying what brought me here in the first place; beautiful art in so many forms. Not many will understand why being here might be difficult, others might. Lost friends, lost loves, lost time- maybe even lost courage or self esteem. I suppose its time to just see what's come of things. Time has changed a skewed perspective. So I say a sad happy birthday to a beloved though lost friend that will neither see this message or know how much his absence in my life truly changed me. Ten years, and I still miss his constant laughter and light. Cheers to a hopeful new beginning on this most wonderful site!

Not really much of an update, not sure who all is around any longer which means maybe following new artists. Have only been dabbling in paint pouring as a medium lately as well as soap making and learning to sew, none of which I've been told qualifies as actual 'art' :) I disagree on a few points but I don't make the rules out there. Life keeps changing and chugging along and I feel like maybe after things get turned upside down its time to start turning things right side up, even if it takes a long time. So while I may not do much to post here, I might just start giving love and honoring those who have the time and the gumption to keep on riding the waves of this thing called life.. I've only seen a very few people still on here that were here before so I'm not sure who will be about to read this journal. Life is..strange and fantastic and all that other stuff that keeps people waking up in the morning. I've been learning to use my Nikon. Using a DSLR is similar to using my point and shoot but totally different at the same time. I'm enjoying learning however its totally frustrating too. I'm likely to flood my page with moderately interesting attempts and awesome photography while I'm learning so I hope you will all be kind!! Until next time, Jamie
